What Lily's Kitchen sells

Lily's Kitchen makes wet and dry food and treats for dogs and cats. For dogs, the range covers 400 g tins and 150 g trays (including puppy and senior recipes), grain-free and ancient-grain dry food in bags from 1 kg to 12 kg, and treats. For cats, it sells 85 g paté trays (adult, kitten and senior versions), meat in gravy, shredded fillets and dry food in 800 g, 2 kg and 4 kg bags.

The adult dog tin, dog dry food and cat dry food we checked are labelled complete, so they can be fed on their own. Check the label of treats and toppers, which are not meant as a whole diet. Our guide to choosing dog food explains what to look for on the label.

Recall history

We found two recalls. FSA alert FSA-PRIN-13-2023 (May 2023): Fishy Fish Pie and Chicken & Turkey Casserole 400 g tins, two batches, recalled because they might contain small pieces of plastic. (FSA alert).

January 2026: one batch of Pasta al Ragu 400 g tins for adult dogs (batch 5212T9097F, best before 31/07/2027) recalled for possible pieces of plastic, traced to a raw-material supplier Lily's Kitchen says it no longer uses. The notice is on Lily's Kitchen's customer notices page; its date comes from Food Manufacture, 22 January 2026. We found no other alert. Our dog food subscriptions comparison covers recall history for the other subscription brands.

What Lily's Kitchen costs a day

Cost per day is the pack price divided by its weight, multiplied by the daily amount from the feeding guide. The dog figures are for a 20 kg adult dog; the cat figures for a 4 kg indoor or neutered adult cat. A range means the feeding guide gives a range for that weight.

The dry food feeding guide (210–300 g a day for 16–25 kg) is from the zooplus page for Chicken, Duck & Sweet Potatoes; we applied it to the same recipe at the brand's shop. The tin amount (550–730 g a day) is the 16–25 kg band used in our dog food comparison. The cat amount (130–180 g a day; 220–300 g for an active cat) is from the zooplus page and matches our cat food comparison.

What this review is based on · 12 sources, checked 21 October 2026Show

What we did

read prices from Lily's Kitchen's own product data and from zooplus product pages, took daily amounts from the feeding guides, and worked out cost per day; checked ownership against Nestlé's press release, recalls against the Food Standards Agency and the brand's notices, B Corp status on the B Lab directory, and reviews on Trustpilot.

What we did not do

feed Lily's Kitchen to a pet of our own. The brand publishes no tin feeding table for a 20 kg dog, so the tin figures use the band from our dog food comparison. The FSA alert page blocked automated checks; we confirmed the 2023 alert from its listing. We give Lily's Kitchen no score.
